October 2009
You know what’s rad? When I find things that make my life easier, or radder. I do a lot of twittering and photo uploads, and anything that makes my bog-standard iPhone photos more interesting and unnecessarily arty is awesome.
So, this app makes on-the-fly application of pre-configured filters to your iPhone photos EASY PEASY.
AND, it’s by Chase Jarvis. Nuff said.
Do yourself a favour, get it and start using it, because it RULES.
So BikeStyle Tours (Oz) have released their L’Etape du Tour tours. This year we have two options:
Etape-only: AUD$450, no support, this is bare bones entry only
Guided tour: AUD$2350, 20 people only, 5 days/4 nights, Etape transfers, Etape support (see the rest below)

Ok, so after last year’s D-E-B-A-C-L-E – read more here – I thought I’d save you the hassle and lay my thoughts down for the 2010 edition. I am a hardcore logistics man and hate stuffing about, so trust me on this. If you are travelling with team support (wife, husband, girlfriend, [...]

Cost breakdown – getting to France for the Tour
I thought I’d post a cost breakdown from our 2009 trip to France for Le Tour and L’Etape on suggestion by Liz at Corsica Journey.
So, the damage from 2009, including airfares, accomodation/carhire (campervan), fuel, tolls, food etc is listed below. All prices are in Australian dollars, convert to your currency here. Costs were shared between 2 people. We had an extra 15kg free baggage allowance on Malaysian. If you want a detailed cost breakdown, as well as tips on how to minimise these costs, you need to check out Guide to Cycling through France I wrote.

The 2010 Tour de France looks pretty interesting, with it visiting some of the places we went through in 2009. So read on to find out where the coffee and croissants are and how you can get there on a tight budget.

Liz over at Corsica Journeys has written a nice guide to Cycling in Corsica.
She and I have worked together to create a special bundle – available from her site only – whereby you can (until such time as Liz increases the price) get a free copy of the Cosica guide when you get a copy of Cycling Through France.

Despite the fact I’ve written and published a Very Comprehensive and Totally Kick Butt Guide to Cycling Through France, I thought I’d write a series of posts around the topic as well.
In Part 1, we cover the creation of an itinerary (initial planning) involving Tour stages, climbs to do, as well as what airlines [...]
